I'M GOING TO JAPAN.

That is all I have to say

Bro and Sis

My oldest brother and I are crazy, when we are together. Today, he came into my room to steal my PlayStation 3. For some weird reason I decided to act like I was in a dubbed martial arts movie. You know when the actors lips are still movie, but the words have stopped coming out or vice versa. That is how I was talking to him. He was laughing so hard. He forgot to steal my PS3 from me. If he comes back back to my room I don't know how I will distract him.

P.S. He did talk like he was in a dubbed martial arts movie, when I was doing it. It is hilarious.

Wishlist: DSLR

For a couple of years now, I have been desperately wanting a DSLR camera. I love photographs because of all the beauty in them. In the past years I have looked at almost every brand of DSLR there is out there. And I have still not made up my mind. I don't have the money either, but that is a discussion for another time. The two brands I like the most are Nikon and Canon. I know they are the most popular, but they do have many lens. SO...MANY...LENS! Lately, I have been going more towards the Canon 60D.

CANON 60D

The main reason I like it is the swivel LCD screen. It is so beautiful and I want it. I better start saving money because this camera almost cost $1,000 and I don't have that money.

P.S. Here's to hoping for money for Christmas. :D

Winter: Coats Edition

Living in Miami, Fl means I have no use for coats, but I am madly in love with them. As a once, frequent visitor of New York, Maryland, Virginia and Canada. I have one good coat, but I am hoping I move out of Florida soon to a colder state. If I am lucky enough to move out of this sweat box I would like some of these coats.

1. Zara Zip-Up Coat

2. Zara Double Breasted Woollen Cloth Coat

3. Ruche Pheobe Double-Breasted Coat

4. Ruche Mount Camel Sash Belt Coat

5. ASOS Skater Coat

Coats are something you have to invest in, because winter is COLD. I am saving up some money to buy a beautiful new coat and hopefully, one of these coats are still around in January for me to buy.

Art Mistake

Acrylic paints are my preference when I am painting. There quick drying capability is the main reason I use it. Being the impatient person that I am, THEY ARE PERFECT. I like to use tape to create line art, but my impatience leads to paint leaking through the tape. Instead of getting structured lines I get wobbly looking lines. Another reason the lines aren't straight is my lack of patience to measure each tape placement. That is the way I like it right now. I like the imperfect look, because life is very imperfect. To create this work of imperfection I used two different sizes of tape, acrylic paint (purple, paynes grey and titanium white), sponge, glue and metals rods.

First Outfit: Comfy Sweaters

Lately, I have noticed comfy, cropped sweaters. The sweaters are chunky and extremely comfortable looking. I thought I would make my first outfit using a cropped sweater as my main piece. This sweater from Nastygal is the perfect choice for me in my opinion. The sweater has diagonal zippers placed near the collarbone.

I thought it would be perfect to pair with an overall skirt from Urban Outfitters. The overall/suspender is in a red plaid color. It will give the outfit some color and a punk look.

I live in Miami, Fl so there is no need for tights and when the weather gets cooler the sweater is good enough to keep you warm. I have been into chunky boots lately and I thought I would find some gorgeous boots to compliment the outfit. These boots aren't as chunky as I want them to be, but I feel like they work in this particular outfit.

I do feel like something is missing from the outfit. Maybe some thigh-high tights will make it more complete or faux thigh-high tights.

My personal style has been all over the place lately, but my love of punk has been increasing. The need for more black, plaid, leather and boots have been a necessity in my wardrobe.

Listen to Me

I have this thing I want people (my friends) to do, but I have this flaw. The flaw is I don't say what is on my mind. Beating around the bush is what I do. I never say what I mean or mean what I say. I am a bundle of confusing emotions and I don't know how to handle them, but I want to know. I want to wake up in the morning and be able to tell people how they make me feel. There is a desire to look into someone's eyes and be honest with them. But when I look at people and try to find a way to truly talk about my feelings I fall flat. The reason I am writing this is to work it out my issues. I want people to listen, but I don't talk. Blaming people would be the easy way out and I am tired of trying to take the easy way out. Here is to working hard and finding the desire to actually feel again.

HERE, HERE!

Miu Miu Style, Miu Miu Grace

My manager at work has a friend who works in sales at Miu Miu. She was telling me how her friend got the job at the company and the manner in which the workers had to present themselves. The workers had to wear buns, red lipstick and clothing from the clothing from the company. This got me thinking about the little I know about the Miu Miu brand. So this blog post is dedicated to me increasing my knowledge.

Handbags:

Shoes:

Eyewear:

Jewels:

When I look at the Miu Miu brand, all I can think of is sophisticated and classic. It is structured and beautiful, and it is something I wish I could pull off. But with my lack of self-confidence I don't know if I could do it. You are suppose to wear the clothes, but I believe, at this time in my life, the clothes are wearing me. It is something I should be working harder on, but I just can't seem to push myself to do so. Hopefully, I will be able to jump start my life and find the self-confidence I so highly desire and to be more honest with people, when it comes to my needs and wants.

ANSSKRMH
P.S. I know the last paragraph doesn't have too much to do with Miu Miu, but I just wanted to add some honesty to it. I find myself being dishonest with everyone and I want to be honest somewhere in life. This is the only place I can talk honestly, because no one in my life seems to listen to what I have to say. Hopefully, someone in the world is listening to me.

P.P.S I actually painted something last night and it isn't amazing, but it is a start. I want to experiment more and find my artistic edge. Maybe I will put it up as my next post.

Free People Wishlist

I am a huge online shopper, so I am subscribed to many online retail stores. Mostly ones that I cannot afford, but who cares it doesn't hurt to look. Free People is one of the stores I cannot afford, but I do enjoy looking at their clothing, accessory and shoe options. Their brand is old-timey, reinvented modern, BOHO. Even if you buy one piece you can create it to be your own. I love brands that carry clothes with the option to be more than one style. In the email I received today mentioned contest. All you have to do is make a wishlist and enter it into the contest. The grand prize winner will receive up to $1,500 of the content on their wishlist. Four first prize winners will receive a $250 gift card. I don't care to be the grand prize winner, but I would love to get first place. I do enjoy free money and free CLOTHES. Here are a few of the items I placed on my wishlist (click the pictures to get to the page):

1. Bow and Arrow Henley Dress

2. Wyatt Ankle Boot

3. About a Girl Tutu Mini

4. Soft Legging

5. Diamonite Organic Stack

6. Circle Cut Jacket

These are my favorites on my wishlist. The one thing I would like the most are the boots, because I REALLY LOVE boots. They are my favorite type of shoe.

Lack of Inspiration

About three months ago, I would paint almost everyday. I was at the top of my game, especially, when it came to learning new techniques. Lately, I haven't been inspired. I am completely lost and I just want to be where I was before. It sucks when you can't be as artistic as you used to be, because you don't believe in you anymore. All I know is I want to believe in me again and become INSPIRED again! In honor of my lack of artistic production I will show a few of my older pieces. Hopefully, as I am going through each of the pictures of my art I find the happiness I used to experience when I created them.

While looking through my history of work I could feel every emotion I felt while creating it. I could feel the anxiety falling from my shoulders, I could feel the first honest smile I made in two years, and I could feel myself not wanting to cry anymore. Art is my escape from the world, where I feel as if I do not fit in. Art is the one thing I know makes me feel on top of the world. I hope I start creating again, so I can feel like I am healing.

Mary-Ann, Terry Doesn't Live Here

Yesterday, the urge to check the voicemail for the house telephone appeared. While I was going through each message deciding whether to delete the message or not, I heard multiple messages from a lady named, "Mary-Ann."
I am guessing Mary-Ann has been calling the wrong number without realizing it. Message after message I expected Mary-Ann to get angrier, but she kept on sending well wishes to Terry. The first message I listened to Mary-Ann mentioned how her life was just starting to get better. On the third message, she happily said, "Hey girl." I could feel her determination to speak to the elusive Terry. After the fourth message, I started think, "Is Terry avoiding Mary-Ann?" The messages span over a month time period. Why hasn't Terry called Mary-Ann or does Terry think Mary-Ann is avoiding her?
To Mary-Ann, the lady who gets happier and happier with each left message,
"YOU ARE CALLING THE WRONG NUMBER."

P.S. Pacsun is having a sale, extra 30% off of mens clearance and 70% off of womens clearance. PLUS, they are lowering the price for shipping to $1.

Spring 2014 Trends

I was perusing through Glamour (where I borrowed the images from) and saw the 10 trends for fall. At this moment in time I am very in love with what I am seeing. I don't feel the need to write a super long intro, because the pictures will do the trend topics justice. Here we go with the 10 trends for Spring 2014.

1. Pretty Pastels
It is a rollover from Fall 2013 and a Spring classic.

2. Boxy, Cropped Moto Jackets
I love moto jackets more than I love hot chocolate and I LOVE HOT CHOCOLATE!

3.Contrast Collar Button Down
I love shirts that have a sort of color blocking theme to them.

4. Wide Leg Trouser
I already own two pairs from 6 years ago and they are so comfortable. The best thing about them is they make my butt look AMAZING.

5. Bomber Jackets
I wonder why they call these jackets bomber jackets. Does it have something to do with the Air Force? My guess was close, it is a flight jacket for pilots.

6. Tea-length Dress
It isn't a midi and it isn't a maxi, IT IS AN IN-BETWEEN .

7. Sweater Dressing
SWEATER DRESSING?!?! The names people think (I am so jealous I am not one of those people).

8. Tuxedo Meets Athletic Striped Pants
If tuxedo meets athletic, are these pants going to be comfortable? Athletic apparel is usually very comfortable, this is coming from a person who wears track shorts to lounge in.

9. The Shift Blouse
Good bye t-shirt and hello shift blouse. The shift blouse reminds me of SOMETHING I WANT.

10. Collarless Coats
I love collars, but I think I have a pretty neck. These collarless coats will sexify your neck. Let's get sexy people.

Fall 2013 Trends

Fall 2013 trends may be ending but I still want to talk about the one I like the most. This fall there are six noticeable trends: punk, pastel coats, men coats, crazy hair, men's wear fabric and the mid-century look. My favorite is the punk look, it comes from the decade of my birth. I would describe punk as tartan, rips, holes, studs, spikes and more. Punk is more than black, it is colors as well.  Here are a few pictures of my favorite punk outfits:

Here are a some photo examples of the other styles:
Pastel/Masculine/Masculine Fabric Coat:

Crazy Hair:

This fall has my favorite trend and I hope spring is just as pleasing.

P.S. My next blog will most likely be about up and coming spring trends.

Just Keep Pinning

Pinterest is a way of life. Once you start pinning, you can never stop. I got my pinterest account two years ago and I pin several items everyday. I don't think I will ever have the capability to stop. Calling it an addiction would be insulting, because pinterest helps you like google. I have learned how to DIY my closet, different workout moves, found clothes I liked and discovered new quotes to use. When you pin you add something to the pot and the pot rewards you with knowledge of other things. I have never been to China, but I have seen so many beautiful pictures of the Great Wall that I am dying to go.
Pinning things on Pinterest is a way I keep track of all the clothing and electronic items I want. Pinterest has this new feature, they email you when the items you've pin go on sale. It is saving me a butt load of time and I love that. I no longer have to go on websites everyday to see if the item I am pining over has a lower price. THANK YOU PINTEREST FOR CARING ABOUT MY WALLET.

Here are a few items I have pinned
(It will include other categories, clothing is not my only love):
1. Moisturizing oils
As a black woman with relaxed hair it is important for me to moisturize my strands. The harsh chemicals from the relaxer dries it out and I am always looking up ways to keep my locks hydrated.

2.Sakura Road in Japan
The only thing to say is GORGEOUS!

3. Future kitchen
I am one of those women, who wants the big, deluxe kitchen. The real question is, "DO I COOK?" I do not cook anything in my kitchen at the moment except cookies.

4. H&M Jersey Dress
The dress speaks to me in different ways. The low scoop back and the hi-low aspects of the dress, in my opinion, ooze possibilities. You can wear the dress with heels, sandals or boots, maybe add a leather jacket or cardigan. This is a perfect dress for girls with gorgeous backs and legs.

5. Macro Photography
Photography has always been interesting to me, but I don't have the funds to buy a camera. Instead of pining over the camera I enjoy looking at photographs that are expertly taken.

Pinterest is something I really enjoy browsing through, because I get to see things I normally wouldn't.
